The A2 exam for the residence permit and the B1 exam for citizenship cost 87 euros. To access these exams, it is also mandatory to complete a training seminar consisting of 3 meetings (online or in-person depending on availability). Cost of the seminar: 70 euros.

CELI: GET YOUR ITALIAN CERTIFICATE WITH US

ELLCI is an official examination center CELI, Certificate of General Italian, authorized and affiliated with the University for Foreigners of Perugia.

Certificates of proficiency in Italian (CELI), issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia, certify the knowledge of general Italian. They certify skills and ability to use the language and are useful for work and study.The CELI certification vary according to specific customer types in: CELI Standard, CELI immigrants and CELI teenagers.

The Ministry of Education recognizes the CELI 3 as a valid certificate to attest knowledge of the Italian language necessary to enroll at the University in Italy.

The CELI exam has six levels of proficiency in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

There are three exam sessions during the year, in March (only for CELI Impact, CELI 1, CELI 2 and CELI 3) June and November.

When is a certificate of Italian necessary?

Foreign nationals who apply for Italian citizenship must possess the certification attesting the knowledge of the Italian language, equivalent to or not lower than the CEFR level B1 to the application (more details here).
Foreign nationals who apply for the EU Long Term Residence Permit must possess the certification attesting the knowledge of the Italian language, equivalent to – or not lower than -the A2 level of the CEFR (more details here).

Applicants interested in taking the CELI Certification Exam, must complete the online form, enclosing a copy of the identity document and receipt of payment.

It is recommended to read the CELI Exam Regulations before registering.
