Best thing to do in Milan this weekend

The sun shines on Milan! The climate is mild in most of Europe thanks to the high pressure of the Azores causing an abnormal lack of rainfall. This phenomenon is known as Summer of San Martino (which is celebrated in November though), Indian Summer in the Anglo-Saxon tradition, or Ottobrata by the Roman tradition of out-door tours of the early twentieth century.

However you define it, this means good news for the weekend ahead! Below are some recommended events for Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th October.

Area P. Milano meets poetry, – Sunday, October 15, at 10:30

The monthly date with verses and rhymes return to Palazzo Marino. The second event of autumn is dedicated to Leopardi, considered the greatest poet of the Italian nineteenth century, and to his stay in Milan.

 Brera Market – Sunday, October 15, 9am – 6pm

Every third Sunday of the month until December, in the streets of via Fiori Chiari, Madonnina, Brera and Formentini, you can find items of small antiques, second-hand dealer and restorers. There are also painters, street artists, flowers and plants.

Fall Design Week – From 7 to 15 October

The second edition of Fall Design Week ends this weekend. The format of design-related initiatives includes a program of meetings, conventions, workshops, exhibitions and installations open to all.

 MilanOltre – From September 28 to October 29, 2017

At the Teatro Elfo Puccini, the dance festival in all its possible expression, national and international, hosting 11 companies, performing in 25 evenings with 20 titles, of which 9 are in the national team and in addition a special project.

 CHAGALL. Summer night dream – from 14 October 2017 to 28 January 2018

Opening tomorrow, at the Museum Permanente, the exhibition-show dedicated to Marc Chagall for the first time in Italy. Entertainment, theatre, music, technology and art combine to give a new way to experience art.
